Windows are made from dimensions or from templates supplied.

  • If dimensions are given make sure they are of the window required and not of the actual opening.   An allowance of  1 to 1 .5mm should be made to allow window to fit in aperture.   If window angles are other than 90 degrees then a template is required.
  • If templates are supplied they should be made of a ply or hardboard material.    If holes are cut out of a boat then the template should be made so as to fit neatly into aperture. Indicate on templates the top outside face. If port and starboard windows are the same then only one template is required as windows will be made as pairs. When deciding on sliding windows be sure to make the top and bottom parallel.
  • All windows are made to dimensions or template with a tolerance of plus nil minus 2mm.
